Significance
The majority of gold(I)-catalyzed enantioselective reactions employ bis(gold)-phosphine complexes. Interestingly, the authors here use chiral monodentate phosphite-like ligands to catalyze cycloadditions of allene-dienes. As an extension of previous work, this paper utilizes ligand-controlled reactivity to produce [4+2]-cycloaddition products of allene-dienes.
