Significance

A polyquinoxaline-based helical polymer ligand bearing both helical-sense-determining chiral side chains and diarylphosphine side chains, (R)-P(950*/0/50), exhibited solvent-dependent and reversible formation of P- or M-helical forms. Palladium complexes of P- and M-helical (R)-P(950*/0/50) catalyzed the hydrosilylation of styrene to give (S)- and (R)-1-trichlorosilyl-1-phenylethane, respectively.
