Abstract
The palladium-catalyzed reaction of N-Boc-4-trimethyl-stannyl-L-phenylalanine methyl ester (1) with a variety of aryl and vinyl iodides and triflates (2) affords the corresponding 4-aryl and 4-vinylphenylalanines 3 in synthetically useful yields.
