Significance

A novel sulfonamide-olefin hybrid ligand with a simple and flexible structure was easily accessed that shows great enantioselective control in the rhodium-catalyzed 1,4-addition of arylboronic acids to α,β-unsaturated cyclic carbonyl compounds.
