Significance

Phosphine dendrimer stabilized nickel nanoparticles (G₃DenP-Ni) were prepared by reduction of NiCl₂ with NaBH₄ in the presence of a third-generation phosphine dendrimer and TOABr. G₃DenP-Ni catalyzed the Suzuki coupling of aryl halides 1 and arylboronic acids 2 in the presence of K₃PO₄˙7H₂O to give the corresponding biaryls 3 in 86-100% yield (30 examples).
