Significance

A palladium-catalyzed one-pot reaction to furnish 8-arylquinolines has been disclosed. 8-Quinoline halides are borylated via Pd-catalyzed reaction with bis(pinacolato)diboron and subsequently cross-coupled with aryl halides to yield the heteroaromatic products in good to excellent yields.
