An Organosilica-Supported Pd Catalyst

Significance
SBA-15-supported catalyst 3 was prepared by treatment of SBA-15-type mesoporous silica with 1, followed by complexation with Pd(OAc)2, in which 1 was grafted onto the surface of the silica host and the Pd species was anchored by thiolated groups (S/Pd ratio of 2:1). The Suzuki-Miyaura and the Sonogashira coupling reactions were carried out with 3 to give the corresponding products in 88-99% yield.
