Copenhagen – EUROSON 2010

We are happy to look back at four successful days in Copenhagen in August. There were more than 700 participants (including one-day admissions) from 60 countries. The program comprised 104 invited speakers, six full day or half-day symposia and three lunch symposia. A total of 205 abstracts were received: 76 for free communications and 129 for posters.

We had five honorary lectures and 172 scientific lectures. The congress featured a special event: EUROSON meets ASUM, and we are very grateful for this collaboration and for receiving a large delegation from Australia and New Zeeland.

There were 24 exhibitors and we are grateful for the support from the industry.

The budget is now about to be finalized and it looks like there will be a small surplus. We are happy that EFSUMB once again chose Copenhagen for the EUROSON congress, hosting an international congress is very important opportunity for the Danish Society of Diagnostic Ultrasound and generates a lot of interest from the local scientific community.
