Zusammenfassung

Die Kapselendoskopie ist eine neuartige Untersuchungsmethode, die eine nahezu vollständige endoskopische Diagnostik des gesamten Dünndarms ermöglicht.
Wir berichten über einen 37-jährigen Patienten mit Protein S- und C-Mangel, bei dem im Mai 2003 wegen einer Gangrän des gesamten Dünndarms auf dem Boden einer vollständigen Embolisierung der Arteria mesenterica superior eine isolierte Dünndarmtransplantation erfolgreich durchgeführt wurde. Das bei dieser Patientengruppe übliche follow-up, welches keinen Hinweis auf eine Abstoßungsreaktion erbrachte, wurde durch eine Kapselendoskopie ergänzt. Die Befunde dieser Untersuchung werden dargestellt und mit der Literatur verglichen.

Abstract

Capsule endoscopy is a relatively new method for a nearly complete endoscopic investigation of the small bowel.
We report the case of a 37-year-old patient who underwent small bowel transplantation due to necrosis of the entire small bowel caused by a complete embolization of the superior mesenteric artery. The underlying cause was an aortic thrombus due to protein S and C deficiency. The follow-up after transplantation was supplemented by capsule endoscopy and did not show any signs of rejection. We report the endoscopic findings of capsule endoscopy in this case and give a review of literature.
