Iron-Catalyzed Cross-Coupling of Arylmagnesium Derivatives with Alkyl Halides

Significance

Although iron-catalyzed cross-coupling between arylmagnesium derivatives and alkyl halides has been previously described, the known methods did present some drawbacks. Here, the authors designed simpler conditions for this reaction as well as proved some mechanistic details of the process, important for its synthetic application. The protocol of this very synthetically important reaction is quite easy to perform.
