Abstract

A complex of TiCl4 and a chiral alcohol serves as highly reactive Lewis acid assisted chiral Brønsted acid (chiral LBA) for the enantioselective protonation of silyl enol ethers. Interestingly, the enantioselectivity depends on the preparation conditions of chiral LBA.
