Significance
The authors utilize reversible addition-fragmentation-chain-transfer (RAFT) polymerization to synthesize poly(vinylacetate)- and poly(styrene)-containing azide and alkyne end groups, respectively, with narrow polydispersity. Both polymers are then subjected to optimized ‘click’ conditions to yield a diblock copolymer with well-defined, heterogenous blocks.
