Significance

This extensive article presents both a Liebeskind-Srogl-type cross-coupling reaction and an oxidative carbon-sulfur coupling of thioureas and thioamides with boronic acids. Detailed propositions for the respective mechanisms are provided. Both reactions generally furnished good to excellent yields.
