Significance

Organoboron reagents have found wide applicability in many metal-catalyzed processes. As most readily available organoborons are simple aromatic structures, access to more elaborated allylboron reagents is desirable. In the domino cyclization above, complex allylboronic esters are formed from simple linear precursors.
