Zusammenfassung
Hier vorgestellt wird der Krankheits- und Behandlungsverlauf eines bei
Erstdiagnose 91-jährigen Patienten mit bereits metastasierendem
Zungengrundkarzinom. Initial erfolgt eine Radiochemotherapie, die intensiv durch
eine supportive komplementärmedizinische Behandlung begleitet wurde.
Drei Jahre nach der erfolgreichen Primärtherapie zeigte sich ein lokales
Rezidiv mit diversen Lymphknotenmetastasen. Der Patient wurde erneut bestrahlt.
Wegen des hohen Alters und des reduzierten Allgemeinzustands wurde auf eine
Chemotherapie verzichtet. Von Seiten des Patienten bestand ein dringender
Behandlungswunsch.
Abstract
The course of the disease and treatment of a patient who was 91 years old at
the time of initial diagnosis and already had metastasizing carcinoma of the
base of the tongue, is presented here. Initially, radiochemotherapy was
carried out, which was accompanied intensively by supportive complementary
medical treatment. Three years after the successful primary therapy, there
was a local recurrence with various lymph node metastases. The patient was
irradiated again. Due to the old age and the reduced general condition,
chemotherapy was not carried out. The patient urgently requested
treatment.
