Significance
The uncommon sesquiterpenoid depicted and its acetate derivative at C-10 were isolated from Jatropha neopauciflora. Interest in this molecule was stimulated by the challenge of constructing seven contiguous stereocenters. A rare Rh-catalyzed Pauson-Khand reaction is featured.
