Significance
This work represents an extension of the authors’ previous work where they developed N-phosphonylimines with unique chiral auxiliaries (A. Kattuboina, G. Li Tetrahedron Lett. 2008, 49, 1573). Here, they demonstrate the ability of these chiral auxiliaries to induce high levels of selectivity in the formation of β-amino Weinreb amides.
