Significance
The hydroarylation and hydroalkylation of styrenes with various arenes by using a continuous-flow microwave reactor (CF-MW) was described. A solution of the substrates was sequentially introduced into the flow cell at 1 mL/min of the flow rate to give the corresponding 1,1-diarylethanes in up to 97% yield.
