Significance
Sintokamides A-E were isolated from the marine sponge Dysidea sp. and represent a rare class of halogenated natural products. Sintokamides B and E were synthesized using the trichloromethyl derivative of J and l-leucine methyl ester hydrochloride instead of J, respectively (not shown).
