Significance

Herein, the first general method for a Pd-catalyzed Ar-SCF3 bond formation is disclosed. Both aryl and (hetero)aryl bromides readily undergo cross-coupling reactions with trifluoro­methyl thiolate to give the corresponding (het­ero)aryl sulfides in good to excellent yields.
