Suzuki Coupling of Alkynyl Bromides with Boronic Acids by Pd-SiO2@Fe3O4

Significance
A magnetic nanoparticle-supported palladium complex (Pd-SiO2@Fe3O4) was prepared by anchoring a silylalkylphosphine onto silica-coated Fe3O4 followed by treatment with Pd(OAc)2 (eq. 1). Pd-SiO2@Fe3O4 catalyzed the Suzuki coupling of alkynyl bromides 2 with organoboronic acids 1 to give the corresponding coupling products 3 in 73-98% yield (21 examples, eq. 2).
