This article is dedicated to the memory of Prof. Nikolay G. Lukyanenko (1947–2011).
Abstract
A new diphenylglycoluril-based molecular clip containing catechol moieties was synthesized using protection–deprotection protocol. The structure and conformation of the new molecular clip and its methoxy precursor were further confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction.
