Abstract

This account reports the glycosylation reactions of glycosyl trichloroacetimidates and various alcohols using several organophotoacids as activators under photo-irradiation conditions. The reactions proceed smoothly to give the corresponding glycosides in high yields. The organophotoacids can be recovered and reused many times without any loss of efficiency, which demonstrates their environmentally benign features.
