The Guest Editors of this issue of Seminars in Neurology are Drs. Pria Anand, Anna Cervantes, and Steven Feske.

Dr. Anand is Assistant Professor of Neurology at Boston Medical Center/Boston University School of Medicine (BUSM). She attended Yale University for her undergraduate work, graduating cum laude with distinction in Cognitive Science. She subsequently received her MD from Stanford University School of Medicine, followed by Residency in Neurology at Johns Hopkins Hospital and Fellowship in Infectious, Inflammatory and Advanced General Neurology at the Massachusetts General Hospital. She joined the Faculty at BUSM in 2019, and had an immediate impact on our department, receiving the Attending of the Year/Teacher of the Year from the residency in her first year. She has received numerous other accolades, including the 2020 New Faculty Clinical Excellence Award, AAN Cheryl Jay Neuro-infectious Diseases Research Award, and the AAN's Fellows Scholarship, just to name a few. She serves at Chief of the Division of Hospitalist Neurology at Boston Medical Center, Residency Program Director, and Course Director for the General Neurology Case Conference. She has been a prolific contributor to the fields of neuroimmunology and neuroinfectious disease, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, where she has been a true leader in the field. She is a gifted clinician, educator and clinical researcher, and a leading voice in the realm of Pandemic Neurology!

Dr. Cervantes-Arslanian is Associate Professor of Neurology, Neurosurgery, and Medicine (Infectious Disease) at Boston University School of Medicine. She received her BS from the University of California, San Diego, followed by her MD from Tufts University School of Medicine. She was resident in Neurology at Boston University Medical Center, as well as a chief resident. She has fellowship training in vascular neurology and neurocritical care, and a longstanding interest in neuroinfectious disease. She has created several programs at BU/Boston Medical Center, most notable being the founding Division Chief of Neuroinfectious Disease as well as Neurocritical Care. She has been recognized as an educator with awards including Attending of the Year and an AAN A.B. Baker Teacher Award. Her research focuses on the overlap of neurologic infections and critical care, including complications of HIV, neurologic complications of COVID-19, extraparenchymal neurocysticercosis, and cerebrovascular complications of infectious endocarditis. She is a recognized leader in the field of neuroinfectious disease, with a particular expertise in neurologic infections among the critically ill.

Dr. Feske is Associate Professor of Neurology at Boston University School of Medicine, and the Vice Chair of Education and Chief of the Stroke Service. He received his BS in Zoology from Louisiana State University (LSU), followed by his MD also from LSU. He first completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Boston University Hospital, followed by his residency in Neurology at the Harvard Longwood Program, also serving as chief resident. He was on faculty at the Brigham and Women's Hospital from 1993 to 2021, when he joined Boston University and Boston Medical Center. Both at Harvard and at BU, he has been one of the most revered clinicians and educators. He has touched the lives of many students, residents, and junior faculty over the years, and served as the Program Director for the combined Harvard Neurology Residency (Brigham and Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital) from 2000 to 2008. He is a renowned stroke and neurocritical care specialist, and is the Chief of the Stroke Division in the Neurology Department and the Medical Director of the Comprehensive Stroke Center. Like Dr. Cervantes-Arslanian, he has a particular interest in neurological manifestations of infective endocarditis.

We greatly appreciate the efforts of Drs. Anand, Cervantes-Arslanian, and Feske, as well as all of the contributing authors, for their superb work in this first-of-its-kind issue in Seminars on Pandemic Neurology, a timely and important guide to neurology practitioners worldwide for this all-important entity.
