Significance

1,2-Oxazines are important scaffolds present in bioactive natural products. The authors present a one-pot synthesis of chiral dihydro-1,2-oxazines using a proline-derived tetrazole catalyst. Good yields and excellent ee’s are obtained for a number of different aldehydes.
