Significance
Stereoselective [1,3]-transposition represents one of the most important synthetic transformations. Regio- and stereoselectivity as well as equilibrium issues always accompany this reaction and prevent efficient generation of the desired rearranged alcohol. This simple two-step protocol offers a powerful alternative to reach higher regioselectivity.
