Significance
This is one of the first reports of a catalytic asymmetric synthesis of allylic thiols that provides thiol derivatives in a highly enantioselective manner starting from prochiral carbamothioates. The most significant feature of this protocol is the excellent level of regioselectivity observed for various substrates.
