Significance
Palladium catalysts were immobilized on the channel wall of a capillary by using polysilane (PSi) with TiO2 in five steps. Hydrogenation reactions of various substrates using the capillary reactor were carried out to give the corresponding reduced products in 96-99% conversion and 54-99% yield (11 examples). The capillary was reused 12 times without loss of the catalytic property. No leaching of Pd was confirmed by ICP analysis after the reactions.
