Significance
This report details an very clean method for introducing the tris(1-pyrazolyl)borate into a polystyrene. It is noteworthy that the authors avoid significant cross-linking even when using a highly reactive BBr3 group and reacting with 97% of the SiMe3 groups (i.e. x = 0.97). These polydentate ligands have a rich chemistry and it should be expected that a number of functional polymers can be produced in short order.
