I want to extend special thanks to Drs. Geoffrey L. Robb and Michael J. Miller for serving as guest editors of this edition as well as the many invited authors who contributed to this issue.

Dr. Geoffrey L. Robb is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Plastic Surgery and Deputy Head of the Division of Surgery at the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. His clinical expertise is in the subspecialty practice of microneruovascular reconstructive surgery. Dr. Robb is credited with coeditorship of a highly successful book on advanced therapy of breast disease and is currently working on the 2nd edition of the book. He is a member of a number of professional societies and is well recognized for his extramural support of national plastic surgery organizations, serving on numerous committees. Dr. Robb's research efforts focus on reconstructive clinical outcomes and quality of life, particularly on developing new algorithms necessary for immediate and delayed breast reconstruction.

Dr. Michael J. Miller is Professor and Deputy Chairman of the Department of Plastic Surgery at The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Miller received his medical degree from the University of Massachusetts Medical School. After completing a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency at The Ohio State University he went on to complete a Reconstructive Microsurgery Fellowship at Tulane University. His focus has been on the treatment of cancer patients with a particular interest in the area of bone tissue engineering. He is a member of numerous professional societies and is a consistent contributor to medical literature having authored numerous journal articles and textbook chapters.
