Zusammenfassung

Mit zunehmender Verbreitung von kombinierten PET/CT-Geräten hat die multimodale nuklearmedizinisch-radiologische Bildgebung in den letzten Jahren Einzug in die klinische Routine gefunden. Speziell bei pädiatrischen und pädiatrisch-onkologischen Fragestellungen stellt jedoch die MRT die Methode der Wahl zur morphologischen Bildgebung dar. Im Rahmen dieser Übersicht werden die notwendigen Komponenten für die multimodale PET/MRT-Bildgebung, die Indikationen für pädiatrische MRT-Untersuchungen, Strategien der Bildanalyse und Bildpräsentation sowie die diagnostischen Erwartungen an die kombinierte Diagnostik und deren Limitationen vorgestellt und diskutiert.

Abstract

With increasing use of combined PET/CT scanners in the last few years, multimodality imaging (Nuclear Medicine/Radiology) found its way into clinical routine diagnostics. Especially in pediatric oncology, however, MRI is the modality of choice for morphological imaging. In this overview, necessary components for multimodality imaging, indications for pediatric MRI, strategies for image analysis and image presentation, and diagnostic goals and limitations of combined PET/MR-imaging are demonstrated and discussed.
