Significance

The copper/aminohydroxyphosphine-catalyzed enantioselective SN2-type allylic substitution reaction of cinnamyl phosphates is developed. By optimizing the copper source, solvent and other reaction conditions good yields and excellent ee values are obtained. The proposed reaction mechanism is supported by computational studies.
