Significance

This article reports the metal-mediated silylene transfer to allenes yielding silacyclopropanes 2, and builds on the group’s earlier work with silacyclopropanations (J. Am. Chem. Soc. 2004, 126, 9522). The marked utility of such reactive compounds is demonstrated by their insertion with aldehydes.
