Significance

The authors report a regiospecific silver-mediated fluorination reaction of aryl- and alkenylboronic acids. It can be conveniently performed on a multigram scale and proceeds without additional ligands. The respective aryl or alkenyl fluorides are obtained in high yields and under tolerance of a variety of functional groups.
