Significance
The first palladium-catalyzed Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling of functionalized allylic ethers is disclosed. It is conducted in water as the only medium and made possible by micellar catalysis by the non-ionic amphiphile PTS. Among a variety of screened ligands, DPEPhos turned out to be most efficient.
