Zusammenfassung

In dieser kleinen qualitativen empirischen Studie wurden 12 erfahrene Praktiker nach ihrer Falldokumentation befragt. Es zeigte sich, dass die elektronische Patientenakte (EPA) in den homöopathischen Praxen der Befragten nicht zum Standard gehörte und dass kaum Interesse an der Nutzung der eigenen Dokumentation zur Verbesserung der Behandlungsqualität bestand. Gleichzeitig wurde deutlich, welch großen Wert die Behandler auf die Beziehung zum Patienten legten, für die sie selbst Einschränkungen hinsichtlich Struktur und Validität ihrer Dokumentation hinnahmen. Es stellten sich daher auch Fragen, wie in der Homöopathie Theorien gebildet und überprüft werden.

Summary

During this small-scale, qualitative empiric study, twelve experienced practitioners were interviewed about their case documentation. The electronic patient record (EPR) turned out to not being standard in the practices of the respondents. Furthermore, respondents showed only marginal interest in using their case documentation for quality improvement and clinical audit. At the same time, it became apparent how much importance the respondents attached to the therapeutic relationship, at the expense of the structure and validity of the documentation. This left questions as to how theories in homeopathy are developed and re-assessed.
