Significance
The synthesis of diverse allylic acetates has been achieved by dynamic kinetic resolution (DKR) using a combination of two catalysts: lipase for resolution and vanadium for racemization. Very good yields (up to 96%) and enantioselectivities (up to 99%) could be reached using this convenient methodology.
