Significance
Enantioselective synthesis of diarylmethylamines is quite important for the pharmaceutical industry, as this unit is widespread in modern drug structures. Addition of arylboronic acids to imines is a highly attractive way of their synthesis, as many arylboronic acids are stable, commercially available products. This method possesses important advantages over the previously known procedure: use of readily available ligand, low loading of the catalyst, only little required excess of the boronic acids.
