Significance
This work represents a valuable achievement in the field of sp3-sp3 cross-coupling reactions. It is the first example of a Suzuki cross-coupling reaction between unactivated secondary alkyl halides and primary alkyl borates. The stereoinformation of the respective secondary alkyl bromides is not retained in this reaction.
