Significance

The development of an enantio­selective synthesis of P-stereogenic alkynylphosphine oxides through a cationic rhodium(I)/modified-binap complex catalyzed [2+2+2] cyclo-addition of symmetrical dialkynylphosphine oxides with 1,6-diynes is reported.
