Significance
The synthesis of a representative anti-Bredt olefin, which refers to the geometrically distorted alkene with the double bond constituted a bridgehead carbon, is accomplished.

The study also illustrates the high reactivity of such a strained anti-Bredt olefin, which undergoes cycloaddition with various trapping agents, showing high to decent regio- and stereoselectivity.
