Significance
In light of ongoing interest in the synthesis of chiral cyclopropanes, the authors report an application of a cobalt(II)-porphyrinoid complex in cyclopropanation with acceptor/acceptor-substituted carbenoids. A generous scope is noted with good yields and high diastereo- and enantioselectivities.
