Significance
The authors report the chiral phosphoric acid catalyzed enantioselective transfer hydrogenation of ketimines using benzothiazolines as a reducing reagents. This work is the first example of using benzothiazoline as a hydrogen source for the asymmetric transfer hydrogenation of imines. The products of this reaction were obtained in good yields and excellent enantioselectivities.
