Significance
Recently, the authors discovered that iridium(III)-salen complexes are effective carbine transfer catalysts. In this paper, they successfully applied the iridium(III)-salen catalyst for the enantioselective Si-H bond insertion of silane with α-alkyl-α-diazoacetate and α-aryl-α-diazoacetate.
