Significance

Stephacidin B is a dimer of ‘Avrainvillamide’ (F), a fungal metabolite with putative antiproliferative activity. An X-ray crystal structure analysis established the relative configuration of Stephacidin B and the synthesis established the absolute stereochemistry.
