Significance
A highly efficient protocol for the Pd(OAc)2-catalyzed aerobic Suzuki coupling of aryl chlorides with functionalized boronic acids is reported. This reaction is proposed to be promoted by the N,O-bidentate ligand formed in situ via the hydrogen bond of the solvents ethanol and dimethylacetamide.
