Significance
A triarylphosphine ligand bearing dodeca(ethylene glycol) chains (EG12-Phos) was prepared in six steps (eq. 1). EG12-Phos enhanced the activity of palladium to promote the Suzuki-Miyaura coupling of unactivated aryl chlorides with arylboronic acids affording the coupling products in up to 99% yield (10 examples).
