Significance
The authors reported that the homodinuclear Ni2/Schiff base complex could catalyze the vinylogous Mannich-type reaction of N-Boc imines as well as the vinylogous Michael reaction of nitroalkenes selectively at the γ-position under simple proton-transfer conditions, giving the desired products in high yields and with excellent diastereo- and enantioselectivity.
