Significance
Corticotropin-releasing factor (CRF-1) plays a central role in mediating behavioral, neuroendocrine, and autonomic responses to stress. Therefore, CRF-1 antagonists are a potential treatment for stress-related illness. The large-scale route depicted delivered 100 kg of the CRF-1 antagonist H in 30% overall yield.
