Significance
New members of the Quinaphos-type ligands have been synthesized by a simple protocol and fully characterized. These new Quinaphos ligands with a more flexible 1,2,3,4-tetrahydroquinoline backbone were shown to be extremely effective for asymmetric hydrogenation of functionalized olefins, dehydroamino acid derivatives as well as enamides.
